A game’s Steam launch options skip DirectX 11
Options like -vulkan or -dx12 send a game to other graphics, and it may close soon after it opens. Malbec runs games best with DirectX 11. Use DirectX 11 changes the option and starts the game. To keep the option, press Play again.
What happened
The game’s launch options in Steam include a switch like -vulkan or -dx12, which makes it skip DirectX 11. Options like these can come over from another computer with your Steam account. With them, the game may close soon after its window opens.
The fix
Click Use DirectX 11. Malbec changes the option (-vulkan becomes -dx11) and starts the game; if Steam is open, it closes first. You can also change the options yourself in the game’s Game Settings in Malbec, or keep them: press Play again and the game starts as it is.
