Using the previous engine
Malbec went back to the previous engine because the new one didn’t start your games. It will try the next update.
What happened
Two engine-side starts failed soon after an update. Malbec kept the last working engine and returned to it. A game crash alone does not trigger this.
The fix
Try Play again. Settings › Engine lets you choose Automatic or the previous engine. Installed content works offline.
When to write to us
If the previous engine also cannot start a game, send diagnostics to support.
Email support@malbec.app. For a diagnostics file, choose Help › Export Diagnostics… in Malbec and attach the zip it saves. It has no account details, and your home folder is masked.
